Abstract

The increasing dependence on chemical fertilizers in modern agriculture has created significant environmental, economic, and sustainability challenges, including soil degradation, nutrient imbalance, environmental pollution, and rising production costs among farmers. In response to these challenges, precision agriculture technologies have emerged as important solutions for improving agricultural efficiency and sustainability. This study examines the role of synergistic root-soil-fertilization observation devices in enhancing fertilizer efficiency and improving farmers’ income within the context of sustainable agriculture. The study integrates perspectives from the Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) Theory, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Sustainable Agriculture Theory to explain the relationship between smart agricultural observation technologies, fertilizer optimization, and economic outcomes. The paper proposes a conceptual framework in which synergistic observation devices contribute to fertilizer efficiency through real-time monitoring, sensor integration, and precision nutrient management, which subsequently enhances farmers’ income through improved productivity and cost reduction. The discussion highlights the importance of integrating smart farming technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and data-driven agricultural practices to support environmentally sustainable and economically viable farming systems. The study contributes to the literature on precision agriculture and sustainable farming by providing a theoretical foundation linking technological innovation, fertilizer efficiency, and farmers’ welfare. The findings are expected to provide valuable implications for policymakers, agricultural practitioners, and researchers in promoting sustainable agricultural modernization and smart farming adoption.
